Cash In

Cash In lets you accept payments in cash in Chile 🇨🇱. The customer receives a PIN (and an optional PDF receipt) that they present at a Payvalida collection point — a network of partner stores, pharmacies, and convenience locations — to complete the payment in person.

No bank account or card is required from the customer.

How it works

Request a Cash In token

Call POST /cash/v1/tokens with the customer's identification and the payment amount. Returns a one-time token.

Init the transaction

Call POST /cash/v1/charges/init with the token and amount. The response delivers a pin the customer uses at the collection point, plus a pdfUrl for the printable receipt.

⚠️ Pin expiry: The expirationDate field sets the deadline for the customer to pay. After this date, the PIN is no longer valid at the collection point.

Customer pays at a collection point

Share the pin (and optionally the pdfUrl receipt link) with the customer. The customer visits any Payvalida partner location and presents the PIN to complete the cash payment.

Check transaction status

Call GET /cash/v1/status/{ticketNumber} to verify the payment result.

Currency

Currency	Code	Notes
Chilean Peso	`CLP`	Integer amounts only — no decimal places
Unidad de Fomento	`UF`	Indexed currency unit — accepted in `amount.currency` on the Init Transaction step. The token step (`POST /cash/v1/tokens`) only accepts `CLP`.

Transaction status values

Kushki sends a notification when the customer completes the cash payment at the collection point.
